Peru Travel News: Explore22 Launches New Peru Travel Video
Explore22 is a start-up non-profit that features videos about two twenty-something guys traveling to Peru, Haiti, and other developing countries, and getting their hands dirty helping others with various volunteer projects and learning about the local communities. The creator of Explore22, Jordan Freda, recently traveled to Cusco, Peru, where he and his buddy Kevin traipsed around the Sacred Valley and lent a helping hand to locals near Cusco. Their short videos give a well-narrated, fresh look at what it's like to travel to Cusco and to volunteer in the communities where aid is always appreciated.
In Part III of the Explore22 video series, Jordan and Kevin visit Taray, a town on the outskirts of Cusco in Peru's Sacred Valley. The town was ravaged by flood waters last year, and the townspeople worry about the rains, which come every February, will destroy the town again. The guys also visit a guinea pig farm, which is a major source of income for locals since guinea pig, or cuy in Spanish, is a local delicacy.
Travel behind the scenes and get off the Gringo Trail as you take an in-depth tour of life in the Andes mountains near Machu Picchu with the filmmakers of Explore22. Watch past episodes of Explore22's travels through Peru.
